Is it possible to breed corn snakes at any time of year? I didnt mate my snakes earlier this year to give them a break after 2 unsuccessful years, but i have been tempted to try and mate them soon, do you think this is possible or is it only possible to breed in the spring? Chrissie x

It is possible to breed at any time of the year, but it isn't something that can be done on the spur of the moment. They have to be cycled into readiness with temperature and photoperiod cues. In short, I'd breed them next spring, too.

I would be interested in knowing some details about your previous breeding attempts and why they were unsuccessful 2 years in a row. There may be some sort of a problem going on that needs to be corrected before you attempt it again.
