It looks a lot like my normal does, although he was really light when he was tiny...see the avatar!

Normal isn't a very great name. See the guy on the left there? I picked out a "Normal" from about 5 or 6 different types because I though it looked the nicest.

Some call them "Classic Corns" and some call them "Wild-Type" corns. I like "Wild-Type", but I usually refer to a corn that is phenotypically normal as "Normal".

Ther's such a broad range of what wild type corns can look like that it can often be easy to mistake one for a morph. I call them 'Classic corns' personally and even though I only have one adult (and some offspring I'm selling) because I'm more interested in breeding morphs, I have to say that can be some of the most striking around.

Although my snake would be called NORMAL. I also would like to agree with antsterr because i chose normal out of all the different types they had. Because i believe, not sure though, but breeding cornsnakes strated with classic ones, therefore, it should be called the ORIGINAL. I think it gives it more value.

I have a lot of different morphs here. I seem to prefer the darker ones, ie. Anery A & B, Lavender, Ghosts, etc. over the reds, ie. amels (although one day I am hoping to add some bloodred) but of all my corns the one that stands out the most is a newly purchased female, a normal named Witch. She has the most vivid pattern I have ever seen.

She came with the name - and it was part of the reason I picked her too! I am a Halloween freak! Right now my porch and front/back yards are completely decorated as is the inside of the house. In fact I even have a decoration very similar to this ---> :realhot:
I bought her from Jeff Mohr (Mohrsnakes), he picked her up at Halloween time last year at a reptile show.

Aww, im dissapointed. I thought im so special that you had to name your snake after me! I named mine Stewie disregarding it's sex, named after the family guy character
Yeah halloween is coming up, im getting ready to make my traditional soup with the frogs i keep in my big cauldron. I might wanna use my 2 new black kittens as well...Im JOKING>
halloween is so fun! I am planning to pull this prank on my brother. See, he always catches frogs and toads in our backyard. And we have 2 huge american toads...SO i bought this huge fake toad today and i am gona put it in the grass and call him like i always do when i find a toad. He gets into this adrenaline rush all the time when he's catching, So i cant wait to see his face when he finds out it's fake!

i just bought one that looks identical to that, and they said he is an Okeetee Normal. So, that is what i would say.
For it to be an Okeetee Phase corn, it would have to have THICK black saddle borders. This snake hardly has any saddle borders (except for a little near the front end). In my opinion, this snake is NOT an Okeetee phase.

If your snake does not have thick black borders (which can be harder to determine on a young snake if one doesn't know what he's looking for), then it may not be an Okeetee, either. There are some locality Okeetees that do not have good borders, but he's probably not going to have gotten one from a pet store. Please post pictures of your new little one.

If they told you the wrong phase, I'm assuming you bought from a pet store or somewhere else like that (i.e. NOT a breeder). Since Okeetee phase is a locality, I would be VERY surprised to find a true Okeetee in any pet store. Since Okeetees are just normals, they probably just wanted to put a fancy name on it so they could charge more.
