My 7yr. old son at the age of 4 was 137 on the WPPSI 3rd edition (Wechsler Pre-school and Primary Scale of Intelligence) We had him tested since he was writing & reading but not talking at age 2-3. Could be a form of Autism. We want to have him re-evaluated soon to see where he is at now.
As for me & Mango....Mine, I am sure is really low & well hubby thinks his son took after him. lol

I am actually quite shocked... I am mentally/emotionally unable to deal with numbers and problem solving IRL... But I scored 130.

Yeah, the Tickle gave me a higher score than the others I have taken. The tickle one gave me a 146, but on another I got 141.

Do you think IQ is like money- no matter how much you have, and how satisfactory that is, you always want more? I just use both of them irresponsibly anyway...

I used to totally suck at the visual patterning ones, but I majored in visual communication (essentially graphic design) and I get them now. Which is one of the issues with IQ tests - they are pretty good at measuring how well an individual responds to the culture of the test creator, but not really all that good as a stand-alone method of measuring true ability. A person from another culture wouldn't have gotten half the verbal questions - they are inherent to culture.

I have piles of siblings and looking at all of them, it's interesting that some of the most intelligent ones have grown up to drop out, hang out and play playstation while living at home, while my brother who is learning disabled and has real trouble reading managed to graduate high school, works a good job, and generally be a great person.

Which is my long-winded way of saying I think the tests are fun but no real indicator or intelligence or worth. ;)
 
I'm not going to find mine out because I know that my actual IQ is much lower than what I perceive my IQ to be.

Aaaaanyhow, I've scored at MENSA-level every time I've taken an IQ test. :shrug:

Nice one, it depends on which test you take, right? When I'm 18 I might give it a try. :)
