On January 4th I picked up a supposedly two month old hatchling from Petco. Since then she's put on weight rapidly being fed one pink every fourth day. As quickly as she has bulked up, I'm convinced that Petco was underfeeding her, but that's another story. What I'm interested in knowing is (about) when I can expect her to shed. I've kept a close eye out for her eyes to cloud, but so far she's shiney, sleek, and healthy. Nothing to complain about, I suppose, but I want to be sure and be able to be home for her first shed in case there are any problems.

If it is that young, and growing fast, then I'd expect a shed very soon. Depending on what morph it can sometimes be difficult to see when they go blue, usually in amel based morphs.
Even when you know they are about to shed it is easy to miss the actual exact time they shed. I rarely catch any of mine in the act. They will go blue for a few days, then go perfectly clear again for a few days before they finally shed. Just check the shed piece and the snake to make sure everything came off, particularly the eyecaps and the tip of the tail.

Just keep an eye on her eyes and belly to watch for dullness. My snakes get reclusive and nonsocial in blue. They only shed after the blue period ends and the eyes clear up again. If you have a pale snake it may be hard to tell and you wake up to find a sloughed skin. Keep a snake diary and document the sheds so you have a record and know about when to prepare. Mine are still young and they shed nearly every six weeks.

That means it will be hard to notice it going ..."blue" (the start of a shed cycle).
