Not surprisingly, I loved every snap. Even in a blowout, they still played and hit hard. I expected a Seahawk win, but not by 35. Football is a sport of momentum, and Denver could never get any. Peyton was a class act in defeat, and the Seahawks players I saw interviewed said the right things also.

Supposedly the NFL is set up to prevent dynasties anymore with the draft order, salary cap, free-agency rules, etc. But the average age of that Seahawks team was like 24.6 or something. And almost every player is under contract. If they can keep their talent, they should just keep getting better, and that's scary.

Sadly Im a Vikings fan BUT, ever since living on Whidbey Island (just north of Seattle) I have followed the Seahawks

Great game, I wanted to see Seattle score one more time to make it 50

Their front office has do e a great job. Many of their stars were found in later rounds (Sherman, Wilson, etc). When you can find guys like that then doesn't matter if you draft late in first round. Even when some of their stars walk for more money if they keep finding players like they have been it won't matter. New guys will just step in.

I agree dynasties are hard to establish, but if anyone can it's them. I think the 49ers and Seahawks rivalry should be pretty good for years to come.

Similar to 49ers vs Cowboys of the early 90s.

Football. Wait, is that the one with the ball with the pointy ends?

I asked my husband very excitedly last Thursday "do you know what happens in three days? FOOTBALL SEASON IS OVER!!!"

He told me to go do something to myself that I can't repeat in mixed company.

I have never been a football fan, I was the captain of the cheerleading squad in high school and had to learn really quick what "offense" and "defense" meant, I loved that but never got into pro ball. Even college football was okay. I am just a St. Louis Cardinals baseball girl at heart, I don't follow any other sport.

For the rest of the world, it's over for the season. Not here in western WA. They are having the Celebration parade today in Seattle, and I am so glad I do not have to drive anywhere near there. It's crazy!

I am very happy that they won.
I was disappointed in the game also, in the fact it was so onesided. I expected/hoped for a close game.
My friends blame me for Denver having any points on the board.
I posted that I was about to start rooting for Denver, so they could get some points on the board. I took an aid call right after I posted that, and when I got off the phone, my phone was lighting up "see what you did?!?!"

Yeah, Heather the family went to go to the parade and couldn't even get a spot on the ferry (walking on, believe it or not). I guess over 700,000 showed up for the party today and my son got out of school to be able to go. I just read that the amound of kids not showing up today in school was ridiculous. Good thing the BF skipped work today; he didn't want to drive anywhere near it either!
We definitely still have the spirit here though, Go hawks! :D

I saw that (about 700,000 people in Seattle for the parade/celebration).
Crazy!
No way was I going to drive anywhere on I-5. Haha!
