Who knew?

All this talk of Rosy Boas, Ball Pythons, Rainbow Boas, etc. and it all comes back to the beginning for me as of late last week. I made my decision and have my next snake on hold for October 1st purchase.

It is going to be an amazing Gold Dust Blood courtesy of a Mr. Mitchell Mulks. The pic is attached, obviously the snake I am referring to being "D" in this photo. It is roughly six weeks from the latest explanation I got from him yesterday and I am hoping to see some pics of the parents and an update photo of the little guy sometime before he comes home to me.

Getting the viv ready next week after I get my mid-month paycheck so it's good to go for when the little guy arrives. Already kicking around names for him and have a few decent ones:

-Tullius (Main Imperial Soldier from "Skyrim" video game -General Tullis)
-Delita (Supporting character from Final Fantasy Tactics video game)
-Theirin (King Cailin Theirin from the video game "Dragon Age)
-Ancano (Thalmor member and on of the Altmer Elves of "Skyrim", guards typically portrayed wearing "gilded"/elven armor)

Trying to go with a RPG video game character known for their gold armor they wore sometime throughout the game. Any other ideas?

I think thus far I am leaning in that direction. I am going to try and come up with a few more with my nerdy buds and see if there isn't a better fit, but so far I think that is the leader. SO excited to be getting this snake and really thankful Mitchell was understanding of my financial situation and still able to work with me to make this happen. Also, glad to be contributing to our home community here by purchasing from one of our breeders on site.

Going to get a cave hide and put a couple of fake treasure chests in it, a castle hide behind a mountain picture backdrop on the viv, a water bowl and some fake woods type looking trees. Going to be AWESOME!

For all my "Hobbit" fans out there. Don't think the kid and I can go wrong here. EPIC!

My husband kind of jumped in with both feet and got two snakes for his first one at the first Expo he went to. Named one, the Honduran, Smaug and the other one Viserion. It's a great name for a snake!

Love Viserion too. Very cool Tavia. Yeah, it was a LOTR name like this, Elrond or Theoden, or the list I had. Other options were GOT names, but there are already so many out there. Smaug is ideal for a gold snake, especially with the plans I have. Don't know how to contain myself for the next two weeks, lol. Going to be very tough to wait it out. Damn pay checks...

I may have to clean my keyboard as I think I just drooled all over it. Stoked about those two parents and the possibilities of this little guy. WOW. I am even more excited now! Haha. Definitely feeling lucky that I got dibs on him before he was scooped up. Can't wait to get his viv together this week. Will post pics when I have everything.

Actually, kid wasn't as stoked as I thought in regards to Smaug. Very surprised. He wanted to think over night and have me think of my favorites and then we would talk today. Currently I'm stuck on Khrysos - Son of Zues and Daimon/Spirit of Gold. That, Tullius and Elrond are my top ones. Hoping the kid likes Khrysos though. Who knows, he may have come up with something great last night too. We will see.

Ordered the snake this afternoon. Payment has been officially sent and it is expected to ship Monday afternoon, arrive Tuesday for pick up at my closest Fed Ex hub. Should have it in hands then! So excited to be getting this package. At least I have a full weekend of plans scheduled up and a busy day Monday at work. Otherwise the anticipation would probably make me lose it!

We decided on King Legolas for the name after much deliberation. Though I will likely be calling the snake Elrond most of the time. He'll probably develop a complex of some sort, haha. In any regards, it's going to be an awesome week. The viv has been set for a week now, temps are perfect and ideal and my lil' guy will be arriving soon. Couldn't be happier.

P:s: If you all haven't done business with Mr. Mulks yet, he is a class act and has been extremely generous in his patience with me (getting the money together), getting me info on how to pay, shipping, advice, etc. Definitely someone I will recommend and probably do more business with in the future. Thanks for everything Mitch!

Package is AT the Fed Ex Pickup location!!! Heading over at lunch around 11:30am or so to pick it up. Going to have to come back to work with me until I get off at 4:30pm, but I'll try and sneak in a few photos before sitting back down from lunch. Obviously gotta check him out and make sure the lil' man enjoyed his journey across the country, haha.
