Who logs their snakes progress?

I have started a chart on excel for each of my corns just to logs progress. I find that helps me ensure proper caring and tracking of each of them. It will also allow me to see if there is anything to be alarmed about or need to change, feeding or temps.

I have even started to change their drinking water every month to a different type of bottled water to see if there is any difference in weight, attitude or energy.

I will put up some results after a month just to see if there is anything.

So back to my question, who else does something like this and if so what do you track?

Cheers

I do use Iherp to log in feedings and shed. I also log in weights under their notes to keep track of their growth.

I used iHerp for like a day.. I like my old fashioned paper!
I only keep track of sheds (dates, good/bad), and feedings.

iherp do you herp? I use it to backup my breeding records. I only use the tracking feature on a select few. I don't have time to do the entire collection.

I've got a google docs spreadsheet (link is my sig) where I keep track of feedings, sheddings, and length weight (done monthly)

I figure it'll let me keep up to date with how well my corn is growing.

Tom have you tried the "batch feed" option?
Go to the "My Animals" tab, to "Batch Feed a Group" & you can select groups (I have female corns separated from males, & then a section for hatchlings, etc), or you can select all of them, & it will give you a list of who's in that group, or the whole list of animals, if you select all. It's automatically set on "yes" for feeding, you can select no, if you didn't feed that animal. There's boxes you can check for shed, defecate & clean, as well as keeping track of cost (I don't use that function & I only log sheds, not cleaning or defecating). There's an animal batch feed option, where you can log several things for one animal, which is a lot quicker than going to that animals page, select tracking, add new tracking, etc.
There's also a printable worksheet option. The thing I don't like about that function, is it includes deceased & sold animals on the list.

Ya i saw your welcome :wavey:
:)
I know you posted somewhere about it, but you made that acrylic cage, right? How much did that cost? It's sweet!

I still havent figured out how to batch feed groups. Because I have everyone on mostly different schedules. Some adults on 10 days, some on 14 days, and some even on 7 days. Yearlings on 7 days, one hatchling on 5 days. So yeah, its complicated so I just use the batch feed option, which is way easier. I like how it tells me how many days its been since their last meal.

Iherp all the way. I did the initial testing for the site when Aaron first came up with the idea...no more books for me! Love it! Plus, he backs it up each night...no worries about losing data if my computer crashes or something...

All you have to do is select all my animals and go down the group for that day and click no on whoever you didn't feed. Easy....

Yes I've tried it. If I ever get the collection down to double digits again, I'll probably give it another shot.;)

I me and 2 other did it. It only cost $180.00, $200.00 with foliage, water dishes and substrate(enough for 3 months of cleaning)

Everytime I have company over there see the foliage suspended and freak out thinking that the snakes are not in a viv. Thats how clear they are from a far.

Fabulous job on it!
LOL! That's funny about it being "too" clear.

nwheather: Why do you dislike the deceased and sold? If you don't want the animals to show, simply delete them. I keep both for my business records and for some of the deceased, I had one female that died after breeding and I have the breeding record attached to her records. I keep it there so that the baby will have lineage if necessary and any other info I might want.
