Who's rockin' ?

Currently it's Rusted Root - Martyr but I have had this CD on repeat and this is its 4th time around. :)

I'm listening to "Tokyo Tapes" by the Scorpions. It's from when Ulrich Roth (aka Uli Jon Roth) was still their lead guitarist. I love their stuff from that era: "Virgin Killer", "Taken by Force", "Fly to the Rainbow", "In Trance". Good stuff. Roth is one amazing guitarist.

Wow! I started this thread as a "shameless plug" for Gino's latest CD :grin01:
Leave it to you to blow me away and make me dig out the vinyl!
Post-Roth Scorpions is like Post-Pyromania Def Leppard........ :puke01:

Exactly. I mean, there's some listenable stuff on the albums between "Lovedrive" and "Love at First Sting" (e.g. 'Coast to Coast', 'When The Smoke is Going Down'), but after that-- nothing. What happened to that band was criminal (and Def Lep too). I don't even think of Roth-era and post-Roth Scorpions as the same band. They went from 'Speedy's Coming' to 'Tease Me, Please Me'. Gimme a break... :awcrap:
