Hi all. I was curious about people's user names. Some of them are very interesting. Mine is a nickname. My name is Karen, but an old boss and friend used to call me Karoni. It kind of took on a life of its own, with various italian foodstuffs being added on afterward...karoni baloni pepperoni macaroni, etc.

Why did you pick your user name?
 
K. Rene is actually part of my real name just lacking my last name. I have always liked my middle name (Rene) and having the K. in front made a nice rhythm and sound. Plus it's short so people can type it quickly on the chat.

I LOVE Tinkerbell!!! Someone said to me once that I was "all tinkerbeller crazy". I was born in 1987. So it's tinkerbeller87. Great stories from everyone for sure! Great idea from the OP too!
 
well as many have might have guessed...i love twilight!!! omg edward is soooo cute.

no but really, bella is the name of my female corn and i had never heard of twilight when i got her a few years ago - before the movies began to come out. i got the name from a friend's dog. but everyone assumes it is because of twilight.

So not original here couldn't use Susan it was taken so went with susang. First letter of last name. Although I may change it to something clever :cool:
 
I like symmetry and alliteration (repeating of consonant sounds), along with other literary devices.
This is a shortened version of one or two screen names that I have had since the 1980's.
v-t-s v-t-s = vetus vates = pronounced : vaytoos vahteez
Which just happens to have a meaning in latin.
vetus = old, aged, ancient
vates = poet, bard, prophet, soothsayer, seer

C'est poesie, non?
 
My first user name was actually GiantBlueberry. :rolleyes:
It didn't have anything to do with Willy Wonka, it was kind of an inside joke between some friends and I. I have a friend Tristan who is.. well.. rather large. He was sleeping over at a friend's house one night and my friend woke up in the night. He came across Tristan wrapped in a blue blanket, and said he looked just like a Giant Blueberry! :sidestep:

Not quite sure what possesed me to chose this as a user name though! People had a tendency to call me Blueberry, so I asked Rich to change my name to Jessicat.
My name is Jessica, and I have some cat shoes that I really love. I also like to wear cat eared hoodies. I'm not actually a cat person (more of a dog person), but I like the way it goes with my name. I also think it fits me a little better than GiantBlueberry!

My username is simply my corn snakes name.
I decided to call him Bartholomew because it was rare and I like the sound it has. I call him Barthi for short.
It use to be BaconStrip because I had taken a picture of Barthi on my phone, and back then phones had super bad quality. So I showed the picture of the snake to one of my friends and he said "why did you take a picture of a piece of raw bacon?" We started laughing and I told him it was a snake and he said "You should call him BaconStrip." I did for a while. Then I decided to change it. And now he's Bartholomew :D
 
At the time of joining I had pet rats and cornsnakes. I no longer have pet rats, but I now have ratsnakes. So ratsncorns could apply to either :)
 
My first choise was taken lol ...so I went with lennycorn after the snake name. And the best type of snake to own!!!!!
I was going to name the snake Pop.
