i live in Arizona near the inter-grade zone of the Cali kings,desert kings and the Mexican black kings, i recently caught two male integrades, one is a yearling and the other is a hatchling, they both show characteristics of the cali kings and the desert kings although the younger one has more cali influence then the older one. Ive seen such integrades call speedway morphs, my theory is that the older one is 50% Cali and 50% desert king(speedway morph), the younger one seems to be the result of a speedway morph 50/50 x a Cali king therefore showing more cali king influence.

To test this theory i plan to get a pure Cali king female and breed her with the older male and see what happens, afterward i will set the older male free, when all the eggs hatch i will then set the female free(if it was caught, if not i would sell it)i will not keep any of the males that result from this breeding but i may keep a female or two to breed with the younger male(if my theory is correct).

What do you all think?
 
I don't think it is legal to set a snake free that has been kept in captivity where other reptiles were around. At least it's not legal here!

I'm also not sure what your theory is? You never stated one.
Plus, what will you do with all the hybrid/integrate offspring? Not many people like hybrids, especially not ones that don't look like very obvious hybrids.

if that is illegal here then i have been breaking the law by releasing kingsnake in the past, if my theory is correct than the resulting babies will be striped like cali king but not as clear cut and the stripes would be yellow. all of my kings have been wild caught most were going to be killed by my great grandfather (they like his chickens eggs) if i did not take them in all were released into my grandmas yard except for the two i currently have and th three that escaped( one was a bay, one was named houdini and dissapeared with the tank latched with no explanation and the third one my granpa forgot to latch the tank after feeding it then fell asleep) i personally feed them every weekend now.
