Snakes in designer genes
New members

Dagin joins us from Tennessee, and is researching before getting her first corn.

Snakebear got a new corn and involved in a live feeding debate, all in one thread.

taedrarmy said hello and posted some pictures of his new baby snake Dizzy - seriously cute.

J&SReptiles has a serious addiction to corns already...

Glimmer celebrated Mother's Day with a corn snake! What a wonderful present!

Motley Crew and his family are enjoying their new pet Spot.

peachsicle and her creamsicle joined us from NC ... I'm assuming that's North Carolina :)

ComoxCorn has chosen to specialise in Okeetees - looking at photos of his first corn Lucy I can see why!

Franckydenantes says hello from France. Bienvenue!

korinna has waited ten years for a snake, until she found Naga. Black rat, corn snake ... who knows, we still like having you around, Keegan :)

KatNPat either lives on a zoo or a farm ... read her list of pets and make your own mind up!

danseymour89 is looking for name ideas for his new snake-to-be.

Jade01 joins us from Leicester in England. Does she have any corns yet? We don't know, you need to tell us Jade!

tw60630 sounds edumucated, but I'm sure he'll fit in just fine anyway.

Yves's new Aztec is a beauty. What unusual markings!

New corns

susang has been spying on Serius Black since he was a baby ...

zeewhiz's new ghost stripe girl is beautiful.

How come dndvictory got TWO new okeetees and I didn't get any?

One of our new members showing off a new snake - taedrarmy's second entry into this week's WIR is to show cute little Dizzy off.

Hey, crackerhead, nice new snake, but do you not think it could be a bit more red?

Lemon amber? Whatever name you put on them, I agree with DaGiant - these are just too cute to turn down.

First pictures of a new snake count as a new addition, right? Any excuse to show off jmksnake's cut-and-shut amel stripe girl. Two snakes in one!

Egg Overload

Multi-het amels from Susan

Sunglow x RO from SusieLea

Say what you like about hybrids, they lay the whitest eggs as cka proves.

80g daddy sires what will no doubt be more stunning Miamis for carol.

Fingers crossed for ghost mots het lav for carol.

desertanimal has some bloodreds in those eggs.

Ultramel lavender x fire sounds like a nice combo for stephen.

My whining about not having eggs on the last WIR paid off! Finally, seventeen perfect eggs from bloodred x fire

zorro is hoping for ultramel charcoals.

DragonBoy should get a nice variety from these two clutches

A two year wait means that Cflaguy must be over the moon with Mandarin's eggs

PJCReptiles is going to hatch me a sunkissed anery. Or at least hatch one and post me some photos :)

Another clutch and a breeding roundup from snakesparadise.

A beautiful pair of caramel x amel for Jeff Linkchorst.

The Rob Stevens Roundup

On Monday we had sunkissed Okeetees, dilute anery stripe mated to anery and granite, butters, and dilute x butter bloodreds, plus bloodreds and Miami stripes

On Tuesday Rob had three clutches of amel variations.

On Wednesday we saw hypos, amels, Miamis, and lavenders - and then anery and reverse Okeetee too

Thursday brought stripes and pied sided bloodreds, and loads more

Friday must have been exhausting - even more, and the final four for the week

Saturday, no threads. So do Rob's corns take the weekend off, or has Rob been buried under a giant pile of corn snake eggs?

Babies!

VinnyJ's variety pack clutch looks like so much fun

I bet autumn7796's babies are cute too, but she's teasing us by holding out on photos! Thankfully snakesparadise stepped in to help.

Pick of the week's threads

What does a head pattern say about a snake? - not much response to this thread so far but I think it has the potential to open up some useful discussion.

Breeding corns & the economy - when the real world interrupts your hobby.

You can't really appreciate teeth til you see their pattern in skin. Thankfully it's someone else's skin!

Post surgery pictures. Casey is lucky to have such a caring and responsible owner.

Why shed?. Well, I guess - why not?

Exercising a lazy snake.

Cheap snake does not equal good snake. There are just some things it's not worth making savings on.

Candling eggs - photos and some fab information on candling.

Photos

My least favourite part of the WIR to do, fact fans. That's why it's at the bottom, I'm leaving it as long as possible.

A new line of selectively bred fires - poppycorn introduces the Cayanne Fire

I love the almost stonewashed colour on Pasadoma's lavender motley

And another of Pasadoma's - an amazing opal

Striped granite isn't one you see too often - thank you stephen roylance for sharing

That's all folks ... I hope I caught everything, please feel free to PM me or just whine on this thread about how hopeless I am if I missed anything!

Great WIR Toyah! I really like the way you take your time to lay it all out and how thorough you are. Trust me, if we hatch out a Sunkissed Anery you can have all the pictures you want but I can assure you that it will probably be immediately added to our collection. Again, great job Toyah!
Jay

Thanks guys. I was less organised with this one as I injured my hand and wasn't really able to use the PC properly during the week, and I noticed it took me MUCH longer to put together on the Monday. Definitely need to keep more organised next time, doing it mainly in one sitting is making a rod for your own back.

It turned out amazing. It looks as if you put a ton of effort and thought into it.

I wasn't on much at all this week. I missed a bunch. Thanks!
