Try a slab of polished black granite, or if you are on a budget like the rest of us, hehe, a sheet of black plexi. I've been meaning to find some but just haven't gotten around to it.
 
I absolutely think it's worth the effort, I know I've wanted to try it but haven't done so for a few reasons. One is that my photography skills are still quite minimal at this time, and the other is I was afraid it would infringe on someone's "signature" pictures! lol!

With Pied sided though, I think the mirror is particularly helpful and that stark white belly is something that I would think we will all eventually aim for. The better the belly the higher caliber the snake <just in my mind> :) So with you taking pictures like this I can get a much better idea of what I would hope to produce!

Now the first picture here worked the best, but I think the others just didn't quite work just due to insignificant factors.

Try some more please because I REALLY WANNA SEE! :)

I really like mirror photos so I think they are worth the effort.

I have to learn how to do that...I think I like the last picture the best- I think the snake is lit nicely. Evenly.
 
Nice pics , nice animals too , I hope I can breed the same from the trio hets I bought last year from you at the Daytona show .
