My corn snake laid one clutch April 1st and then double clutched. She laid a slug yesterday but hasn't laid anymore since. Should I be worried yet or is this ok? Thanks for any help.
A little more information is needed. Was your female bred for her second clutch, and if so, when? Most second clutches are laid about the time the first clutch hatches and hers is due to start around the first week of June (give or take). Has she had her pre-lay shed yet?
Also, they sometimes lay slugs in advance of fertile eggs. Or if laying a full clutch of slugs, they can take their time and pass them over several days (rather than settling in a laying box and getting them all out in one session).

No she wasn't breed a second time. Yes she did have her pre-lay shed, about a week and a half ago almost two weeks. Since I posted this she laid one slug outside the box and now she is in her box and laid two more that look like slugs.
Since the last post she laid 2 good looking eggs and the rest look like slugs but I put them in the incubator just in case. Looks like she has a few more eggs to go but she is doing fine.
Ok all the eggs are laid, the total is 14 the first clutch on April 1st, which are all looking great. And 15 for the 2nd clutch on May 22nd, 3 of which were laid outside the box and were definite slugs, 2 were good and the other 10 are are iffy. So I have 26 eggs in the incubator, now I just have to wait.
