i was kinda hoping for a small clutch from my amel female, this is her and my first year of breeding. she was a 00 hatch. she just layed 25 eggs, with 2 more still in her belly! quich question, when they get nearly done laying,do they usually go out of the nest box and start exploring? with only 2 more eggs to lay,she came out of her trance, and left the nestbox.i thought maybe she trying to work the eggs down toward her cloaca, but i really dont know.

Congrats! Give "mom" a small snack like a hopper and then she will probably eat a nice big meal after she sheds. Don't be suprised however, if she refuses the hopper, some don't like to eat at all until after they shed. But some will definately take you up on a snack. :) I know it is worrysome when they look so bad after laying, but she should be OK.
