WOW! Another good one!!

I know it's a genetic trait, but it seems to just pop up randomly. Pied sided corns command a high price, yet the average Joe can pop some crackers out from a pairing with no PS history...

It's quite possible its just been floating around in the gene pool and people are only recently finally getting two hets paired up.

That's a relatively good possibility. Or if it is showing up "randomly" it could be from the Brad McDonald lines not Don Soderberg's P/S. The two lines are not genetically compatible but they both produce animals with white markings on their sides. The McDonalds have that quirky randomness that drives breeders crazy. You can put two McDonald homozygous animals together and not get 100% homozygous offspring. Something else must be at work here. It would be nice if at this point in the discussion Don Soderberg or Rob Stevens filled in the details because those guys have done the breeding trials.

Anyway you slice it, those are fabulous animals Snakexperience! Congrats!

The bloodred and hypo bloodred have hatched and so did the motley this morning..
Last year i bred a bloodred motley showing PS influance and a normal striped motley girl. This motley is also a girl but looks way more bloodred than her sister from last year, but without the extremity the bloodred motley from last year showed and still shows..
I wonder..
