That's photoshoped, right? Don't tell me that pythons that big have teeth like that.

I saw that pic from that military forum and it looked a little wrong to me too, but i have no idea what the inside of a boa's mouth looks like nor do i wish to anytime soon!

Sorry, python, boa, i new, give me a break lol

Depending on the size of the snake (it seems like it's a big one) I'd say it looks about right. I used to have burms and they have some horrendous teeth compared to a corn. The bigger the snake gets, the bigger the teeth.

Holy ****. No thank you. :sidestep:

I have some BIG burms....

I'll go check....

Just kidding. Well, I do have some big burms but I'm not getting that close! Wow, nice pic.

I hate to have to correct you Quigs, but I think boas and pythons do in fact have two rows of teeth in the upper jaw:

Here's the upper jaw of a boa . . . I know the pic above is a python . . . two rows of teeth. :shrugs:

googled: http://courses.washington.edu/vertebra/453/photos/teeth_photos/teeth_characteristics.htm

. . . here's a retic:

It's not letting the picture show, so here's the link:

googled: http://www.animalyawns.com/reptilesleft.htm

. . . green tree python: (you can see a second, shorter row of teeth inside the mouth)

googled: http://mzone.mweb.co.za/residents/net12980/skulls.html

I think the photo looks real. I just don't know how you could photochop it that well (ie. shadow/indentation in the skin around the wire). The only thing I notice is the lack of disturbance in the dirt if the snake caught itself on the fence and struggled. Maybe someone at the least 'posed' the snake there after finding it dead.

Where'd you find the pic Joe?

you guys are amazing, i would have never known that, thanks for all the info, even though its creapy interesting though, im glad i only have baby corns too

i would say they have cropped it right in and made the picture seem a little worse than it was but it looks real enough! (just to explain about the two rows of teeth in the top) the first row of teeth (as most on here probably know) are desighned to rip things to shread if they try to get out of the mouth an then the second row are to help pull the big meals down as they struggle a lot (thats as i remember it)

I linked to that picture on another forum too :D

There is a vet over there that also happens to keep African rocks (the species depicted above). He said it was a fake. I am going to get one of my Photoshop gurus to look at it at work today, and see what he thinks.

I never remember my burm having anything near teeth like that!

It looks like a well done fake to me. If you look at the wires, they look photoshopped in. But good quality photoshopping.
Just my artist's opinion. :)

i just took a close look at that picture it looks real i am used to dealing with photoshop pictures and stuff from being a graphics designer howere it does look like its been cleaned up for example the teeth at top by the guns look blurey meaning they could have been lengthend but something must have seriosily pissed of that python to make it do something like that.

:-offtopic Bubbles, I'm just curious where in the UK Malvern is? I've never heard of it before, is it a small town?
