Yay! Eggs are hatching!

Well, on Thursday my egg sitter called and said that there were pippies! So, I have gotten updates over the past two days and she said that 6 are totally out, 1 has its head out, and one is cracked. She said that they looked all the same and that they were pretty big. (She isn't really a snake person, just a good friend).

She also said that there was one that was noticably larger than the other, maybe it was just in a big egg though. She also said that there was a bulge in one of the babies. Does everything sound normal?

I will post picks tomorrow when my family gets home. I will not be home until next week...sadly. LOL, I can't wait!

Thanks

Great news! The bulge is probably absorbed yolk. Most likely nothing to worry about. Can't wait to see pictures of the little worms.

Thanks Guys!

Well my family got home and said that 5 more were out! Thats a total of 11 already and 2 more to come. She took some pictures and sent them to me.

These were of the 5 that hatched today...she will take more later and I will post them. These all look like amels to me, but maybe some are going to be butters.

Thanks.

Thanks!

Well, one more came out and there is one more to go. My mom took picks of the ones that look lik ebutter. I can see that two are probably butters and the rest are amels so far.

Do you all agree that there are 2 butters here? There are also some comparison picks.

Thanks!

Awwwwwwwwww, you're a daddy! Nice job! Now, you get to name a whole bunch more of snakies! Are you going to keep any, or sell? Darn it...I was thinking of coming to Charlotte, too, but in August. I was thinking of getting a snake for my niece, to welcome her to the Wonderful World of Reptiles...:)

(She already adores her 5' long stuffed rattlesnake toy, so how much different could a real corn snake be? :p Eventually, it'd be my mom -- not my niece's mom -- who'd end up caring for the wee thing...*sigh* My sister never really did well with that whole responsibility-thang...)

Thanks Everyone!

I't took me awhile to name my first three snakes, so how am I going to name 12 or 13 more! LOL

Yea, I will be selling them. If you are still coming you can buy one, I'll save you one. LOL

Thanks

Awesome clutch Dave! Its amazing to see sensible young people in the hobby.

I do indeed think you have at least one lovely butter in that clutch, and even better, it has a wierd motley wanabee pattern!

They look great Dave!! I'm glad you have responsible people to manage things while you are away. I'd be dying to get home!!
