Sorry about the strictness of this requirement, but it is necessary to block spammers and scammers at the door as much as possible.

Yet another net scam or what?

It kind of sounds like a scam to me too, but I' really like to believe that people would not stoop that low to take other people's money. *sigh* I guess you never know though, and better safe than sorry...

...also, it seems kinda wierd that she would want you to use paypal. I guess thats a logical secure way to send money, but it still seems strange to me for some reason. Can't quite put my finger on it...

Normally in these situations an account is set up at a local bank so you can contact that bank to verify that it is legit. All this guy would have to do is contact a local TV or radio station. They are usually very glade to help set things up in these situations. I would never send money to a person I didn't know well, no matter how much it pulled on my heart string.

it's a scam!

There are SO many programs out there that would pay for medical, or help you out in some way, cause you can't be refused treatment in a hospital! I just read that in the waiting room of the clinic just the other day! So am sure it's a scam!

I would love to know the type of bacteria that is in his blood which would bea case of bacteremia hmmmm and there are about 40 different antibiotics divided between 1st 2nd and third generation levels that can kill bacteria that are in your blood this sounds bogus. A lack of general information on what is ailing this kid.

I would think if it were proper and legal, they would have set up a trust fund at a local bank like they do for fund raising for most people. I wouldn't trust anyone asking for direct cash sent to them.
