Your Cold and Flu Remedies

I guess 10 minutes of cleared sinus is better than nothing - but not much better! Maybe your condition is bad enough that it requires irrigation several times in one day? Maybe after being REALLY cleared out with multiple uses of the pot, then once a day will work for you, too. You can always ask your doctor about it. Once a day was good enough for most of my friends and relatives, but maybe they weren't in as severe need as you are.

I will be curious as to how it works for severe allergies, too. I believe a lot of my problems are due to allergies, although I am not positive. I first get the nasal and sinus congestion and runny nose, and later the runny eyes. So taking care of the sinus prevents the eye problems. I don't know if that will be the case in more severe allergy reactions. But it sure can't hurt to try! Hope it works as well for everyone as it has for me!

Not to be disgusting, but when I started going to the doc that eventually did my surgery, and he started me on a sinus rinse, I did it for 3 or 4 days without much results, then all of a sudden so much crap cleared out with the rinse that I swear I lost weight. I felt much better after that.

^ The way you worded that made me giggle. :grin01:

It could be. This lazy teenager has been meaning to start back up on it. XD

Sinuses and eyes are completely related, so it makes sense. After all, our eyes drain gunk into our sinuses via a little hole. *shudders*

That's what I am thinking. Once for most people makes a HUGE difference. But for some, I bet it could take a while to clear it all out. I would keep doing it for a while before giving up.

I don't know if there is any reason not to do it multiple times in one day. If you use the saline included, I would think it is ok. But I would follow the instructions or ask your doc, since I never used it more than once per day myself. But persistence may pay off for some who have the greatest need!

RANDOM fact, SINUSES ARE SO WEIRD LOOKING!

i recently went to the Body Worlds 2 exhibit at the Telus World of Science in Vancouver, and it positively BLEW MY MIND! if you haven't went and it comes near you, you should definitely go see it. well worth the $21 admission.

but when i saw what sinuses acutally look like, i was completely blown away, and thought "no wonder sinuses can get so messed up!"
