They like each other

She gets the point. Now leave her alone.
It was stated in the second post. Stop beating it in.
It's is getting annoying.

I just found something that might add something new to this thread.

It's great to see animals potentially suffer because their owners are too stubborn to follow the sound advice of others.
And this coming from someone who openly admits to rushing snakes to breeding weight ahead of what is widely considered safe.

hyp·o·crite [hip-uh-krit] –noun

Silly me for clicking that little option to view your post, since I have you on ignore. And shame on me for actually replying to your post, which will ultimately be a waste of time.

I do love how you are labeling me a popsicle stuffing power feeder over ONE single comment on ONE single thread. But of course I don't want to ruin your argument with facts. And all of that over a comment that wasn't even 100% serious, but whatever.

And while you may think that it is not considered safe, but Kathy and Don have weighed in on Dean's plan and have no issues with it as long as temps are at an appropriate level and the feedings are cut back once the snake reaches adult size (36"). And if you'll look at Dean's plan that's exactly what it calls for.

And btw, my largest 07 is under 30 grams. So while you might like to try and throw me under the bus, it ain't gonna happen. So you can take your personal call outs on take them elsewhere. You can be sure that I won't make the mistake of reading a single one of your posts ever again on this website because you contribute absolutely nothing. I am not going to waste my time arguing my practices to you, especially when far more experienced people have said it's a perfectly safe practice. Perhaps when you own more than a handful of snakes you can strike up a conversation about feeding practices when you actually have personal experience to back up your argument.

This is going to one of those threads isnt it...?
Unfortunately it's 4.30am here and I've been suffering terrible insomnia so here goes...

To the original poster - this is a website which has made its views on cohabbing pretty clear. Just do a search...your not the first, and you won't be the last. Whilst this kind of thread may be 'OK' in some forums, it was never going to be OK here...and this is a public forum...therefore everyone is entitled to their own opinions. Personally I like this forum as I find it interesting and honest. I also find the humour here fantastic...but it may not be to everyone's taste. If you don't like it....you don't like it. What more is there to say on the matter. And for the sake of any further argument - I won't say my opinion on your husbandry. Beautiful corns. I hope they do well for you. If you need any advice on the racking system you'll get plenty here. Good luck.

Separate now??

What do you want me to put them in? A shoe box?

Actually, yes. If the pics you posted are current, each should fit nicely in a 15qt steralite, which is usually called a 'shoebox' at fine retail stores such as Target. Make sure to punch some holes in there.

I'm in South Africa - we dont get Targets..

I would rather leave them together for one extra week than stick them in shoebox sized tubs..

And there realy isint a point to running out and buying small tubs for them when they have nice large ones on the way..

Everyone - just chill already - they have been fine for months - an extra couple weeks wont hurt.. As soon as I get the rack - they will be moved..

So basically you have no idea how long they're actually going to still be together?

Personally, I find it incredulous that cohab is okay, but the tub which is considered by the majority to be acceptable for a yearling is somehow not okay. :shrugs:

Do whatever you want, they're your snakes. It's great that you're in the process of listening to good advice. It's not so great that every time someone tries to help you out, you get upset. I'll be off to work now. :wavey:

I do how know how long its going to take - a week or two. I cant make the guy build it faster than he has time to.

I do find cohab better than sticking them in tiny boxes at this point. Because they have alot of extra space to roam and they are all eating well.

Stressed animals wont eat - its the same with bearded dragons. Upset animals dont eat.. Mine - eat. Well. So really - I have no problems keeping them together for another 2 weeks max..

As said before - many people do this successfully - but mine will be seperated soon.

Oh ya - I'm not upset at all - every time I read a reply to this - I laugh my @ss off..

And should we suddenly find a new thread by you all sobbing and crying because one of your snakes ate the other or that they are now all sick, I'll be laughing my @ss off as well.

Personally, it's not your husbandry that is the main problem here. It's your attitude. Therefore, you'll get what you give.

But they aren't going to eat each other! I'm not the first person to have done this and Im definitely not the last..

My attitude doesnt suck - I'm just tired of hearing the same thing over and over again when I have said 30 times that they will se separated very soon - why cant we leave it a that.

I just finished my degree and I am job hunting - I honestly dont have the money to buy extra tubs and heat mats when I'm getting a rack made up already for them.. I am confident they will be ok for a week or 2, then they will be moved.. As cheap as you may get tubs for - I cant find them here for cheap at all..

woah woah woah, sorry to join in but I've been reading this convo and whats happening?! I agree that the first few posts weren't mean at all they were stern but civil.....I mean you can't really display the severity of something if your all nicey nicey about it and yes you DID explain that they were going to be seperated, but I think people were more concerned that they were together AT ALL, and the title of your thread DOES kind of suggest that your not taking the risks of cohabbing seriously and I don't want you thinking this is a bad forum at all, I haven't been here long but I won't go anywhere else because I appreciate the stern but friendly advice, I've never had anyone be "mean" to me but I suppose everyones sensitivity varies and if your going to take advice that is careing about the welfare of your snakes to heart then maybe you shouldn't of posted . But in the same respect after the conversation fizzled out and everyone apologized we got people getting heated again and making this forum look aggressive!? sorry for the long input I just felt it had to be said.
