  • Well I'm not trying to feed the world but yes we do get a very decent yield. I have given at least 8 containers full of strawberry plants to friends and family.
I have a blueberry question we got our plants from a local grower. He said blueberries don't send out underground runners (like raspberries). There may have been a lack of communication, but it looks to me like we have new shoots off the bluberries?????
I also credit our yields in general to good organic fertilizer. We may get a worm thingy to grow worms for the castings. They seem to do well here. In the past we have grown worms under our rabbit cages, but that was when we had a farm and 16 acres.
??? I am so bad at records I know some are the tiny ones, some everbearing, some that are new this year and are supposed to get bigger then norm. I set out new pots near the plants and any new runners go into new pot. About every other year I take out each plant clean up roots and dip in mild bleach water. Because of all the rain we have a lots of problems with mildew and mold. It seems to work so far.
Hey thanks. I do have a question on blueberries we are using a glacial rock powder made into tea around once a month. I am impressed with the load of blueberries they are two year old plants, but we just put them in. The strawberries I pictured are about 1/3 of what we have and we have given at leat that many plants away. I did clean them really good this year and added another 25 starts, what we had was the origianl 25 starts we have a few varieties.
Thanks for the tank advice Cat! Do you plan on getting a snake anytime soon? What colormorphs are you thinking about? See you round.
