Any one going to try to produce "jungle corns" ?

I was thinking of switching over.These frozen mice are a nasty !!!,I noticed they even smell crappy.Why is this ??,,its almost as if they were dead for a short while before they are frozen. ??

Every now and then my snake "disappears" for some extended alone time. She has a lot of tunnels and even a few chamber like pockets that she hides in. She has a few above the substrate hides,(rock hide,rock cave),which she uses a lot,(rock hide mostly),but sometimes she is under the cypress...

Do corns loose their apatite in the cool time of the year ??.Fall,Winter ?? My snake just shed,and has'nt had a meal in 13 days,,but was'nt interested in a mouse tonight :shrugs:

Do snakes go through dry spells for shedding ??.My snake has not shed in over 2 months.She was shedding every month.She is about 14 months old now.

:shrugs: I swear my snake doesn't want to grow any longer.She seems to be getting thicker,but if her length has changed,,I would guess not more than an inch in the last 5 or 6 months.I would guess her at almost 14 months old.Not sure how much she weighs,,but about 30" to 33" long. Whats the deal ?

My snake doesn't seem to need a "warm" spot to hang out in,,after she eats. For the last 3 feeds, she has not gone to her warm hide.The feed before last feed she stayed on the opposite side of the tank(75gal.)in her rock cave. Temp in that cave can't be more than 75...Is this just something that...

I picked up some mice for my snake.I have been using Arctic Mice since I got her last Sept..She has graduated to their largest size,which is a 4 pack at 76 grams. Now is that a total weight or a weight per mouse ?..I believe its the total weight.On Roy M.'s feeding chart shows large mice at 50+...

I am baffled ??,,my snake has seemed to STOP growing.She made some nice jumps in the beginning,but I don't think she's grown in the last 3 or 4 months :eek1: what the heck ??. Her meal size is good,,she eats every 6 to 7 days,(she is about a year old). I would say she is between 28" and 30"...

:shrugs: I feed my snake,or I should say made an attempt,,to feed.I let her go 8 days because her last meal was a bit on the large side.Since eating she had 2 bm'ers.She has come into blue,but this has never stopped her before. Why do you think she didn't want her mouse ??.I am going to wait...

:shrugs: All of a sudden I have these little,I mean almost a 1/32" in length floating around(swimming) in my snakes water dishes.I changed the water and they were back by morning :sidestep: I don't believe they can cause any problem,but they sure are annoying to see.

My corn seems to have slowed down in her growth rate.Up to the first 6 months she seemed to grow ALOT.Now,,she seems to have slowed.I got her last Sept.,she was around 12"-13" and as big around as an average pen. Now shes in the 28"-29" range and at least an 1" thick or more.Very healthy...

Ever have your corn not hang out in the warm side after a meal ??.I didn't see my snake in her warm hide once since I fed her on Sat. I did see her poke her head out of her cool side cave a few times. Strange ?,or no...

My snake shed last night,,perfect one piece shed.I measure the shed,,just laid out flat,no stretching.How accurate is this method ?

Man,,I can't get over how much my snake loves her new substrate.A few weeks ago I set her up in a 75 gal.tank.In her 30 she had coco nut bark,but I wanted to go with something differant,so cypress mulch(Forest Floor) was the one I chose.I LOVE it !!! Great looking,,nice earthy smell,,PERFECT...
