Now,

The question is.... How long do you think we've been capable of this before they (Government) deemed it safe to share this info? (Not really going with a conspiracy theory here....Just saying, they wouldn't tell us...until they had something "Better" in the works..... prime example: F-117 Stealth Fighter)

The current theory is roughly 20-25 yrs.

With this in mind....

The Aurora project seems a given.

Thoughts?

Would also like to add:

I currently live within 10-15 minutes of Wright-Patterson.(Home of the Infamous Hangar 18 ) ..Never a dull Moment. :)

The SR71 delivered to the USAF in 1964 was capable of 2200 MPH manned flight and altititudes over 85,000 ft. That's nearing 50 yrs ago. :shrugs:

Exactly, we have no idea how advanced we actually are. The government only lets us in on aircrafts DECADES after they have been in use and are sometimes retired. Such as the stealth bomber, etc. We are so far advanced, all us peons just don't know it yet.

Agreed!!!

And NASA regularly Flung Humans Into space at speeds of 18,000 to 25,000 Mph(Space Shuttle/Apollo Missions).

So.... Why Make Such a Big Deal over 3300 Mph?

Hmmmm..... :)

Scramjet Powered! That's the Key!!

Wow, (if my math skills are not too rusty) at those speeds you could leave get to L.A. even before you left from N.Y.C.
And while I sit here at work for 8 hours you could have gone around the world.
