Adult Cornsnake Housing

sprdonkey

..with hatchlings blessed
We have been discussing changing housing for our larger juvenile and adult corns. I got to wondering what sizes/brands of "Tubs" larger volume breeders typically use to house average sized yearling+ snakes. I know that there is no real substitute for the quality of a good terrarium. I am leaning towards 27quart (18'' long x 13'' wide I think) for adults and the 12quart(13'' long x 11'' wide) for smaller. Does this seem reasonable?

Many use the 32/28qt tubs for adults. They are about 22" x 16" and only vary in height. Then if you use these in a rack width ways, you can use the smaller version to fit two tubs for younger ones. I personally think that the 32 qt are too small for a grown corn and I use 41 qt tubs which are 34" x 16". Hope this helps.

I don't know how many quarts it works out as, but the tubs I've been looking at are Iris CB-70s - they are around 33" x 17". I don't think I would feel comfortable putting adults corns in anything less.
