I bought a small pot of live basil at the store today and was wondering how best to care for it and how long it might live?
 
Obviously, but I meant how often to water, general pot size, life expectancy... And I'm not planning on eating it very often, it's mostly to get a nice green smell in my room, since apparently it's getting a snakey smell (and I don't much care for flowers) and keep the air fresh.
