Payson, AZ. The family went to a fish hatchery and I spotted him about 30 feet off the trail. I'm sitting there in shorts and flip flops, poking a rattler with a stick. Totally unprepared!

Nice. Especially the Whip Snake and the Tree Lizard.
Is that rattlesnake an AZ Blacktail?
I'm heading out that way in a week - hopefully my luck will be as good as yours.
