Day light lamp?

So I want to get a light lamp for my baby corn snake but i was wondering if it will raise the heat in the tank? Cause my snakes cage is already at 85 f which is pretty high and I don't want to get it if it will raise it even higher

I use under cabinet lights from walmart for my cages for display. They put off very little heat and brighten the cage a bunch! Plus, they only cost me $8, compared to about $30 at petstores :)

85 isn't pretty high, its just right! :D

Any normal bulb will raise the temp quite a bit if you set it directly on top. Like others said, you can buy a different type of bulb like LED or a UV light which will illuminate but wont add any extra heat

I don't recommend a UV light for Corns - they don't need it and it seems to make some of them more likely to hide away. You could end up with a beatifully-lit and apparently empty tank!

LEDs appear more successful, as they emit a light wavelength that doesn't bother the Corns, without giving off a lot of extra heat to disturb your careful setup.
