Feeding

Ok this is proably a question asked by dozens a day.....How many of you raise your own mice as feeders and how many of you prefer to feed frozen? Why do you feed frozen? Just so you won't have to raise mice....of is it some other reason? Is frozen better? I know there would be less chance of a mouse related injury to the snake but (YUCK!) I just can't see mice in the freezer....I would just buy 2 to 4 mice every so oftern for my python......I've not to many babies but I guess I better get on that right now as I want to have something to feed my new corns when I get them.

I feed frozen thawed for alot of reasons.....
I'm a wuss and can not stand to kill anything or see anything killed.
A thawed mouse won't defend itself and hurt my snake.
Frozen mice are inexpensive.
Frozen is sooo easy to feed, just thaw and go!
You can buy in bulk.
Frozen have no parasites.
I have also read that frozen are easier to digest due to the cell walls being broken down due to freezing.

Mice are just meat, you already keep chicken, cows and pigs in your freezer.
I just keep mine right inside the door.
