Help!! Corn snake gone!!

Hi! I'm going mental!!!! I have a 2 year old corn, and when I got home after work today, he was gone!!! I had spent the night before with my parents for canadian thanksgiving so he had a night to himself. Now that it's the nocturnal phase I am freaking out! My immediate thought was to call the police but I've been told they can be tricky. Thoughts?

First double, triple check that he is really gone and not just hiding very well in his home habitat.
Escaped snakes are often found and found in good health. There are many threads on here about escaped snakes. Start looking close to the viv, they often don't go very far before curling up in a hide spot.

Was your home broken into and your snake and his viv stolen? In that case, I would call the police. If you came home and your snake has escaped his viv, then I would not bother the police. This forum has a lot of information on lost snakes. Start with Nanci's sticky notes on this. Before you panic, take everything out one piece at a time and look closely at it. I lost one once that had stuffed himself into a toilet roll. I don't know how many times I picked up that roll in my panic before I realized it was heavier than it should have been.

Agree with Myca. The one thing you do not want to do when your harmless pet snake escapes is call the police. They aren't going to help you find it, and you may find yourself with a citation.

My snake also escaped! 2 nights ago and she's a hatchling so VERY small. I recommend setting up a warm cozy place she will want to hide and feel safe with food and water close by it that what I've heard to do and I set out water last night and she got in and out of in because it spilled all over so I set some food in a bottle trap text to her hide that goes in her tank with substrate. Best of luck on finding your little guy hopefully my baby girl will show up by morning I'm stressing so much):
