Hey Everyone!!!!!!!!

Go Bucks!
Hey everyone im new here, my name is DJ and im 14 years old. I have two snakes right now, i have a female bullsnake and a female BCI. I want to get a corn snake, but i was wondering what are some of the cheaper available morphs right now? I like the amels and anerys and the charcoals are awesome too. I like just about all of them lol.

Welcome to the forums, DJ! Given your screen name, you'll probably be hearing from Danny (dwyn127), who has "goooo Browns" (instead of the current "goooo Cavs!") next to his avatar pic.

Outside of the normals, yeah, the "cheaper" morphs are going to be the amels, anerys, charcoals, snows (amel + anery), and blizzards (amel + charcoal). Hypo "A" is relatively inexpensive, too. Don't worry, though....once you get your first, you'll soon be getting your second....third......eighteenth....

Again, welcome to the boards, AND the addiction.

regards,
jazz

thanks, i really like the snows! if i got an amel and an anery and bred them together would i get snows or would the amel have to be het for anery and the anery have to be het for amel? by the way i already have the addiction

The latter. Since snow is a "double recessive" morph, both parents would need to be carrying both sets of genes; and then, your probability of getting a snow is still only 1 in 4.

But obviously, it's been done. They're out there. :)

AN easier way to understand is that if your bred them then the babies would all look normal but they would carry hidden genes for both traits, then if you bred the babies (F1) then you would get on average 25 % snows 25% amel 25% anery and 25 % normal, i think, i am not 100% sure. Welcome to the forums, i am also 14 even though i only have been for a few days. How big is your BCI, i also have one but mine is an adult.:wavey:

You're all over it! (Presuming, of course, that there are no hets in the original pairing.)

jazz

btw, DJ.......

"Go Bucks" ?????? I realize you're in Columbus, but you're talking to someone from Milwaukee, here. ;)
