Is cedar driftwood safe for snakes & geckos?

I know to steer clear of cedar substrate, because of the scent and oil, but what about cedar driftwood? I would think since the wood is no longer fresh and that it's been worn by the elements, that it would no longer prove harmful to a corn snake or gargoyle gecko. But I don't know for sure and I certainly don't want to harm Spyro or my future gecko.

I've already checked the local chain pet stores but their selection was poor. There are some LFS's here, but they're all a bit of a drive from me and I don't really want to make the trek considering I probably won't find something I like.

I looked on ebay and found this store:

It has some nice pieces, decent prices, decent enough shipping charges. But the driftwood is collected in an area of cypress, pine, and cedar trees.
