Just got my first corn snake...yesterday. 10:30 pm Wednesday Feb, 24th. Neglect case. A family member of the owner recognized she was being neglected and took her in, but was unable to keep her. She is skinny! I admit, I know a little about snakes in general so I'm winging it! I'll post more about her in an appropriate place 'cause I have questions!!

ps..shift worker who hasn't been to bed yet, no idea what day it is!!

Hello and welcome! Glad she is finally with someone that will take proper care of her!

Thank you for the rescue!! You won't be sorry once you get to know her/him?

The stickies at the tops of the care sections should have all you need...Thankfully it's not too hard to keep a corn.. A secure cage with an under tank heated warm spot on one side Hides on both warm and cool side. a water dish.

They don't need UV light, so if the pet store tries to sell you one- don't fall for it.

You said she is skinny, if you can find out what size food they were feeding her, (probably undersized) I would suggest being careful about sizing up the food too quickly. She's also stressed from the move. Overfeeding can cause a regurge on top of all the other stress.
