Look of a hypo amel?

Hello
I like browsing corn pics and like the look of the many combos with the hypo genes and this year I got a clutch with some hatchlings that might have a hypo gene.

A question came to my mind. How do you discriminate a hypo amel from a colorful non hypo amel?

I guess the areas lacking black pigment should be reduced and pink. Right?

So, how do you discriminate a hypo amel from a colorful non hypo amel?

There is no way to visually discriminate a hypo Amel from a colorful non hypo Amel.
The only way to know, with 100% certainty, is by test breeding ... or if both parents are definite homozygous Hypos.

Thanks for your answer. I'll have it in mind when selecting breeders. /Niklas
