male hypo

I could have mistaken that one for an amber!
It sure looks like something else is going on there! Way too much yellow for a typical hypo (any one of the 5 or more). I would like to see some more pics of this guy!

Its father was a Soderburg amber which, of course, came from Rich's stock, and its mother was a snow.
This one is still gaining more and more yellow - its crazy - and its far yellower than its amber father.

Any chance his mother was at least het caramel? That "hypo" looks to be 100% amber!

I've posted pics of this snake before because as its developed, it really has taken on much more yellow than I thought possible for a mere het for caramel.
However, its mother came from Soderburg stock that I had before the discovery of the caramel gene, and the line was notoriously lacking in yellow.
All I can guess is that het for caramel can sometimes manifest itself pretty strong.
I have a sibling which was really going to be my sole holdback. Same exact genes, and it looks nothing like this one.
