My little stubborn non-feeder

I know this is not the best pic. It was an afterthought after our force feeding session today.

Still force feeding huh? Well glad to see the wee one growing and hope soon enough he decides food is noms:)

(S)he looks beautiful, even in the dark pic I hope it starts eating for you =)

Thanks!

I tease him to try to get a strike before I force feed him. The last few times, he does seem to be getting a little more aggressive. But still no strike.

Glad to see he's still hanging in there!!

Thanks, Nanci.

He seems to be doing pretty well other than not voluntarily eating. He has shed 3 times. And he is very active after a day or two after eating.

Good luck with the naughty little one!

Thanks! He has met his match in the stubborn department. I will put him on his feeding towel and shove food down his throat as long as it takes :p

He's beautiful, Rich! Like Nanci, I'm glad to see that he's still with you.

I continue to hope for the best.

Thanks, Fred! He is much prettier in real life. My camera and photo skills leave a lot to be desired.

He is putting up more of a fight each time we go through a feeding session. I guess that is a good thing. It means he is getting stronger.

Wow! I would have lost patience with him a LONG time ago. Haha. Glad to see he's doing okay! I can't wait to see your post with his first voluntary meal. :)

I've just recently had to begin force feeding a couple hatchlings, and they hate it so, do you think it creates a bad association with them and the pinky? I was thinking about it today, and I just thought man if somthing got rammed down my throat i doubt i'd ever eat it on my own. Or do most cases eventually learn to eat on their own?

Oh no are you still having troubles with this wee fellar?

I hope you can figure out how and what he wants to eat asap!

Sadly this little guy did not make it.

After so many feeding attempts, and working so hard to keep it alive it finally passed during the night last night. I am heart broken. :awcrap:

Thanks guys.

Even though he never showed interest in eating, he was very active and was putting on weight (slowly). I had hope he could make it.
