My snakey's a year old! 2011 Normal (Alabama?) from Alabama x Tessera clutch

Lycari

Desperate to Edit
Saga officially became a yearling on the 22nd, but, unfortunately, she was in shed at the time. Since she picked a bad time to go into blue (day before feeding day!) and then proceeded to take an abnormally long time to finally shed, she got a fuzzy right away and she's still digesting, so no new pics yet. These are from March 14th.... Teach me to misplace the file transferring software CD before using it! :dunce: She's a good deal bigger now. However, the flash brought out her colors in a way that, while inaccurate at the time, are actually fairly close to what she looks like now! ^_^ These three are the best shots I got that day; new pics to come when she comes out of hiding in a few days!

Very nice. Knowing the background of your snake makes the hobby even more enjoyable. You can trace both sides of that snakes heritage, as the tessera's background is fairly new, and Heathers Alabama line is from Walter Smith I think. Progression pics would be cool, just to see how normals from a mixed clutches of tess' turn out. :)

Very nice snake. My girl looks similiar :) Normals are pretty neat. After that shed her color should look really nice.

Yes, it's awesome! ^_^ Saga is from Heather's Mica x Taz clutch, so while I could trace Taz back for generations, Saga's mom is still something of a mystery since Mica was wild-caught (by Walter Smith, yes). I think that's pretty neat, since it means Saga is both from an established bloodline and second generation fresh, wild blood! (Maybe I'm the only one who think's that's interesting, but meh. XD)

Neat thing is, buying from Heather (or off cs.com in general) means I have the baby pictures!

Thanks. :) Her colors are getting really nice; the red is really starting to pop! Her ground color is getting more orange; it almost looks coppery, but with enough grey in it that the thick borders and the red saddles really stand out. ^_^ I wanna say she looks like a much lighter version of her mother, but with a lot more red, and the yellow/orange gets less intense the farther you get from her head... Can't wait to get new photos! XD

Hurry up with that mouse, Saga! :headbang:

I haven't actually sat down and tried to get good "Camera" pictures with an actual camera. The first link is the most recent I got with my iPhone.

She is really neat but I just need to take the time to use a camera. :)

These were my first attempts to photograph Saga with my awesome new Nikon. I've never used anything but point-and-shoot before, and it was driving me nuts because the pictures still looked fuzzy no matter what I did. XD Little did I know that when I got it on the computer, they'd come out like THIS....

That's a tiny chunk out of the first pic, at its original size/resolution. Not quite so fuzzy, after all. XD
