So went I got my baby corn snake at pet smart they said he was 5 months old but I didn't think he was. It has now been a month so by what they say he should be 6 months he just shed last week and his 18 and half inches. Does the age seem proper for the length?

No one can tell you yes for sure. That is about right but each snake grows at a different rate. Some are that length at a year some just few months after they hatch. It is just so hard to tell.

Yep I have a 2011 , 6 weeks old, thats only an inch shorter than one of my 2010 (who eats every week).

Yeah they grow at different speeds but that age sounds about right with what I have experienced with raising hatchlings.

I have noticed that most petsmart snakes are around 4 to 7 months old. I think what you said is consistent with my observations.
