The truck drove past me as I was walking home for lunch and I got home as it was driving away again. I rushed inside to open the box. I've finally got my baby Amel and Anery!!!! I transfered the snakes into their temporay ice-cream tubs and found that they were the complete opposits of each other. The male Amel was so sweet and tame and was crawling all over my hands- I thought this was very nice considering it had been in transit for a whole day and was probably very stressed out. He's so sweet.
The Anery, on the other hand, is the spawn of Satan )). She is very aggressive and seems to stay permanently is the striking pose. Hopefully she'll calm down in the next few days.
I keep getting really confused as the Amel is male and the Anery is female. I think amels just all look female and vice-versa with Aneries.
Another confusion: I ordered an Amel but the label on the box says Candycane. I won't have photos until Monday so I'll describe him to you: Peach background, red/orange saddles with a sort of lavender border and orange dots in between the saddles. What do you think? Has anyone got any pics of hatchling Amels and Candycanes so we can compare? Of course, it would be nice if he was Candycane but I am doubting it.
