Registration is FREE, so please register so you can participate instead of remaining a lurker....

Please be certain that the location field is correctly filled out when you register. All registrations that appear to be bogus will be rejected. Which means that if your location field does NOT match the actual location of your registration IP address, then your registration will be rejected.

Sorry about the strictness of this requirement, but it is necessary to block spammers and scammers at the door as much as possible.

New to Orlando Florida and looking for Herpe friends In teh area :D

There are lots of us in the central Florida area. Most of us don't belong to an actual herp group that meets on a regular basis, but sometimes, many will get together to visit the Serpentarium or simply have a BBQ or something. And then, there is always the Breeder's Expo in Daytona where corn lovers from around the world will meet on Sat night for dinner, drinks and a raffle for USARK. In the meantime, most of us live on this forum to get our daily dose of social activity. Welcome to our family and we all hope you stay awhile!

OH, and please make sure that you have read the few rules and regulation we have on this forum. You can find them stickied at the beginning of many of the subforums, including this one. There is one about signature length (hint, hint). ;)

Well I know there are meet ups. I just wondering if there was a certain group that organizes theses? So I know what to look for when I want to go out on one of these outing.

The members of this forum will most often post a thread here in the General ChitChat forum announcing when they plan on having an outing. Some examples:

http://www.cornsnakes.com/forums/showthread.php?t=109768
http://www.cornsnakes.com/forums/showthread.php?t=109502

And that's only posting the ones for Florida and going back only to the beginning of the month. There are also Upcoming Events posted at the bottom of the home page and you can also check out FaunaClassifieds.com, a "mother" site to this one for more goings on with a much wider range of herps and people, but IMO, CS.com has the best people to hang with.

Hey Panda, glad to see ya found the place and welcome.
Susan hit on the head. Just keep the peepers on the General-Chit-Chat. I know you're in school headed for a career in herpetology. We'll get ya to the Serpentarium where George Van Horn has helped many get started, sometimes taking on taking in interns.
