I got my very own corn snake today, and i love him!
Till tomorrow he is only living in an empty viv with some little stones and a heatmat, ill he be fine without wood + a cave to sleep in for 1day?

Give himn an empty box or a toilet paper tube to hide in. He might get stressed without somewhere to hide.

Use newspaper or paper towels on the bottom for substrate. I have 3 snakes that have paper towels for substrate and they do fine. I hope you have a thermometer with a probe to see the temps on the glass over the heat. It needs to be around 85ish. Unregulated, the heat mat will probably get to hot. You can use the center from a paper towel roll cut long way for a hide. Lay it down across the tank. This will allow him to to regulate between the warm and cold side.

The viv is only plastic

Also what i wanted to know is if you could try guess what type of snake mine is, If a baby snake about 21inchs long

Its black with white patterns all ova it, and it has a small white dot above its head.

And they said if it shared a viv with my mums snake (Anerythristic corn snake) Mine would eat it.

Any Ideas what type it could be? I was told its type but it was a sort of long nameand forgot it >.<

So if i put a little toilet paper in the toilet roll tube i stuck in the viv, that will be fine? he wont try eat it or anything? (Im abit over protected about my snake as its my first)

Don't put toilet paper in the viv, just the empty roll. Let me suggest you go to the Husbandry forum and check out the FAQ. This will answer alot of your questions faster than waiting for someone to respond to this thread, if your questions still aren't answered, then post away.

And yes, your cali king would eat your cornsnake.

Is it normal for a californian king snake (few months old) to move the last 2Cms of its tail up and down rapidly when it sees me?

Sure. It means he's happy to see you and that he wants to be your friend. Do a search on "rattle" and see for yourself.
