Raw Feeders (Dogs)

Nanci, I'm not at all surprised you've taken to raw like a duck to water! My feeling on why some dogs have issues with mixing dry and raw is that it may upset their stomach PH levels, they need a lower PH to digest the bone properly. But I'm an old-school raw feeder, been doing it for about 20 years, so I have to stop, chuckle and then calm down some of the overly zealous converts on the FB page. Then again, apart from Rosie and her issues with cooked fats, my hooligans haven't any intolerences or allergies that I know of, so I can be relaxed about them having the odd pizza crust as a treat!
I probably spend an average of £60 a month to feed my 3 dogs which is about $90, so not cheap, but also not outrageous compared to really high-end processed food. I don't know if you joined the sister groups too, one for hardcore raw feeding, lots of whole prey on there, one for general chat?

Chinwag. We try to keep the main page for feeding and health, so we can be silly on the chat page without distracting from genuine queries for help
