snakes in eggs

ok I have about 4 snakes still in their eggs they have cracked them but not came out yet, been cracked over 24 hours, none have hatchd in 24 hours. These eggs didn't look good in the first place, should I give them another day to come out or try to pull the egg apart a little? Have never had this problem before.

Leave them alone. If they are strong and healthy the will come out on there own. Generally if they do not come out on their own, there's a good reason (even if you can't tell from the outside).

The more often you peek, the longer they'll take to come out. The egg is "safe" as far as the babies are concerned.

They need to stay in there to finish absorbing their yolk. If you pull them out you will mess up that process. They will still have the yolk sack attached to the belly and it can end up costing them their lives if they are outside of the egg and snag it on something, disemboweling themselves in the process. It is not uncommon for them to take their sweet time coming out, be patient

Well they all finally came out. Took around 48 hours from first to last. Had 12 total hachlings. About 5 of those eggs looked like slugs. All seem healthy. 5 anery, 3 snow, 2 amel, and 2 normals. Normal female snow male. Thanks for the help.

Congrats!! that is a nice mix of hachlings !

Congratulations on healthy babies - especially since some eggs looked like slugs! There's a good lesson here about not throwing out an egg until it's flat, hard as a rock, and reeking!
