Snow?

Howdy everyone,
We were given this corn as a rescue from a family who could no longer care for him. He was described as an "albino", but my first thought upon seeing him was that he was a snow. His eyes are a bit lighter than those in the morph guide for snows, but I'm curious to see what the board thinks. Any ideas?

I agree - looks Snow to me.

To most people, any white animal is "albino". I suspect that was the thought process here. Some non-specialist shops will even sell Snows labelled "Albino".

Non-Corn people don't tend to know that technically, it's Amel Corns with the red/orange shades that are "albino" n our world.

That was my line of thinking as well. He came from a home where he was poorly cared for (his enclosure would have made you cry, it was so filthy) and they were definitely not "snake people". He was described to me through email and when I went to pick him up I took one look at him and went "Yeah, that's no amel." ;) However, having not owned a snow before, I wanted a good solid concensus that that's what he was before making any claims. He's in quarantine still away from our others and going to his vet checkup/probing today.

Congratulations on your beautiful new snow! It's great that you could rescue one from a bad environment.

Thanks for the kind words, everyone. We just got back from the vet and everything looks to be in order....and "he" is really a "she". That was a nice little surprise. It looks like Priscilla is going to shape up to be a great little snake.
