The new pet laid eggs!

well, our leopard gecko we got a couple weeks ago laid eggs today. i had no idea she was pregnant, so i was in no way prepared :(
i came home from work today and there were 2 eggs sitting in her hide log. so, i took them out and put them in a deli cup with dampened paper towels and put them in a warm area of the cage. tomorrow i'm taking them up to the pet shop and they will incubate them for me. i guess i'll be going to get an incubator though, since i've been told to expect more eggs in a month or so, and since next year my corns will be ready to breed.

not too bad for a $20 petco lizard, huh?.

Leos have such cute faces. =)

Mine always laid eggs and I observed the pair breeding, but I could never successfully hatch the eggs for some reason. Treated the same way as I would a cornsnake egg, but they'd develop embryos and then die. =/
