My corn (an adult) is out all the time when she can tell people are around. If she's in her hide, and I get home, or get up in the morning, she comes out right away. She drapes herself over her branch and just gazes out of her viv, or a lot of the time stretches up toward the screen. I always say hi to her and talk to her when I go past her viv, which is in the kitchen. I'd say she'd out 75% of the time during the day/evening. She is very gentle and has never coiled at me or seemed like she was going to bite. When I take her out, she clings to me. If I set her on the ground, she crawls about leisurely and doesn't attempt to run away. (Not that she couldn't get lost if I didn't pay attention to her.)
