There was some talk somewhat recently about possible pied-sided bloods as referred to above. :) Again, a picture of the head could be helpful.

But that is assuming that there is bloodred influence. I don't know if many regular amels tend to exhibit white like that on the sides. I know mine has some white on the sides, but it's not that concentrated. On the other hand, mine seems to be a relatively "low-white" amel.

Picture of the Belly

Looks a little motley like. Does it have a plain white belly? Some of my motley amesl have little side marking.

My best guess, judging from the head pic, is that there isn't any bloodred influence. The head pattern seems fairly typical and doesn't seem to have any grey to it. :shrugs:

looks like there MAY possibly be some bloodred influence there. it's hard to tell because the photo is kind of blurry. you need a pied sided blood to breed it to.

hey zwyatt, show me an amel with a gray head, i'd really like to see it. no amel blood i've ever seen has had a gray head.

LoL, that is not a pied sided snake. You guys are killing me.

It looks like a regular amel to me, I really don't think the white on the sides is anything 'special'.

That's the kind of expertise this thread was needing! :grin01: But seriously, I hadn't seen concentrated white on the sides that looked like that in the many pics of amels that I've seen. There could be lots a regular amels out there with this type of look. Just like almost all corns, I'm sure there is quite a bit of variation in the fine details from snake to snake. :)

Let's calm down...breathe... You live and learn. I never professed to be a morph expert. I was just giving my best (under-educated guess). Did you see my shrugging icon? Maybe no amel bloods have any grey on their heads. That's good to know for the future.

I didn't stake it all on color. Does that head pattern look anything like a bloodred? Or do amel bloods not show that either? Maybe they don't.

I  to your superiority.
