Aaron, The "Pot smoking, sinner."

WOOOOOW

I am an avid church goer but I would tell someone Hey drop the join t or you'll burn forever!!! I would rather hang out with someone who puffs the magic dragon than a bad drinker.

I just reread this and i ment i WOULD not tell someone that

I don't think I've heard the term "lid," Mike, for 35 years or more. I think I forgot about it till now!

LOL... I'll ditto that! Likewise back in the day the good strains were limited to Acapulco Gold and Thai Stick.... today the strains have names like Trainwreck, Northern Lights and AK47, and the list goes on and on!!!!

Snake breeders have taken the standard Corn into all kinds of new morphs.... so have mary jane breeders come up with all kinds of new strains.

God bless progress

Remembe Maui Wowie? That was popular among friends of mine back in the day.

I think I have seen that on a couple of movies...LOL... I don't personally smoke pot, never have, and possibly never will. I know people who do. I am just not into smoke entering my lungs... I tried cigarettes, but I did not like having my throat burn like I was inhaling fiberglass... When I did smoke, I was usually drunk, and I would only change to cigs after my black and mild was done. Love the smooth flavor of a good Black and Mild.

"Hey, what's in this (stuff), man?

Mostly Maui-wowie, man.

Yeah?

But it's got some Labrador in it.

What's Labrador?

It's dog (stuff).

What?

Yeah, my dog ate my stash, man. Had it on the table, and the little **** ate it, man." :D

Y'all, remember there are minors here. IMHO, we should refrain from romanticizing the +/- behaviour(s).

P.S. I'm too young to remember lids, but my late Uncle told me he sold them in the Army (he was an Army surgeon). I still remember that conversation, and he yelled at my Aunt across the room "Hey honey, how much did we sell a lid for?" Without a second of hesitation she replied "Twenty dollars!" LOL. ;)

Didn't meant to "romanticize" anything, just being silly... hopefully the younger people on here are old enough & smart enough to make their own choices.

Wow...took me a while to get to the end here. I wanted to post a bunch of times, but needed to finish the thread first. Now we lost Vicky and it's degraded into some kind of twisted Fast Times flashback.
I will make a couple of comments, though.
First, ditto on the "lid" reference. I haven't heard that since the '70's

More on topic. I don't think it matters how dangerous "you" think something might be, and I don't even care if the majority agrees with you. If I'm not endangering anyone else, then it's my business and the Gov't can stay out of it. The majority of the country think snakes are dangerous and unnecessary pets. Wanna give them up? It also goes to living life. I enjoy good beer. Even if it isn't necessary. I also like to shoot, and I ride motorcycles. I used to race motorcycles, and to me tossing a bike into a corner at 120 mph and touching my knee to the ground as I get on the gas and sliding the back tire is FUN! I bet almost everyone has something that they like to do, that someone thinks is dangerous and unnecessary. Doesn't mean it should be banned.

And I thought I was going to be talking about Corn Snakes here.

Lolo, I am the last person to be spoiling the fun, but all of this can be read by the general public without registering, and found by simple googling.

I really just felt like channelling VickyChaiTea and protecting y'all from yourselves. :p ;)

Nothing personal, VCT, just being a little light-hearted myself.

So what?? You can also find free porn by Googling, and I doubt anyone would come here just to read about pot... if they do, obviously they were looking for anything on the topic. Maybe my attitude is different considering where I live (where it's basically legal), but I don't see what's so "taboo" about it.

I am not arguing with you. But this is a family site. And I assure you there are members who would neither discuss certain things with their 11 year olds, nor would they want 11 year old members (and they do exist) reading serious subjects discussed in a 'silly' manner.

If you have read all of my posts in this thread, you surely know that I am quite liberal on the subject, and the last to take on the mantle of the PC police. You might even find my 'attitude'...surprisingly...sophisticated. Even considering...I do not 'live where you live'. Although I fail to find a relevant relationship between geography and philosophical perception. No more than I find a relevant relationship between geography and silliness.

Anyhoo, I will re-emphasize my lightheartedness and my pledge to be the last one to stop the fun and jocularity.

I am sure if I have taken your responses to me as 'instructorial'...that I am just as mistaken as you would be to feel 'having been instructed'.

P.S. Would you say the same if we were discussing fine wines?
If the topic was clumsily passing around a bottle (among possible minors) and getting drunk and silly and reckless...perhaps.

Yet again, for the third time, I must declare that I an _not_ seeking to engage you.
Please refrain from taking on an offensive posture when it is not at all being baited, provoked, nor solicited.

Again, I submit to you the obvious (to me) light-heartedness and humor of my post #133.

What is the minimum age for registering? I apologize if anyone was offended, or if I broke any site rules - but I honestly don't believe an 11 year-old should be here in the first place. Parents should monitor their child's online activity, and it would be inappropriate for such a young kid to be reading this forum alone. As for being able to read without registering, there's not much we can do about that!

I wasn't referring to the silliness, just the topic at hand... and geography has a LOT to do with one's views towards marijuana, since the laws and attitudes are different from place to place. Here in San Francisco it's legal for all intents & purposes, so we just aren't used to being all "hush hush" about it. Does that make sense? But silly people come from everywhere, LOL!

P.S. I know you weren't specifically addressing me, and I'm not taking it personally at all - just playing devil's advocate. ;)

Honestly, Lolo, I don't think there is one. I know there was an 11 year old young man I met posting and reading the other day. And yes parents should monitor. And no, speaking for myself, I was not offended.

I don't think geography dictates individual thought, ethics, mores, or any other ideas or notions. Silliness either.
I'm the deep south bible belt 'resident'...that wrote a paper in 1981 (ahem...pre-2010-California-marijuana-laws ;) ) on why marijuana should be legalized. :D
See post #7.

Funny thing is, although I played into the High Times jokes, I didn't & don't indulge. Just don't care for it. Still think it ought to be legal.
