Is there a way to tell a corns age by its size. My corn was supposed to have hatched in sept of 2009. He is growing nicely but he does not look big enough to me to be a year old. Is there an average weight and length for a 1 yr old corn?

As the snake grows does the color become more or less vivid? How about the definition between the saddles do they become more or less defined as they age? My normal(that is what it is supposed to be) has some gray between its saddles and in some places some red will the gray turn red?
