since the weather has started to get cold my amel has not been really coming out at all. while my other 2 are always out at night still. can this be a heat realted problem? or can i just be the snakes choice not to come out?
At night the high temp is aorund mid 70s.
well last night i had my first ever regurge in over 2 years of having corns. It was a whole reguge too 24 hours after he ate it.
can some one by chance list the reasons why he would regurge? are there certain reasons?? After he did it i held him and he was not cold at all so it was not cause...
i notcied that my snow corn has a sort of saggin lump in is body. is it possible that this might just be a fat build up or is it something i should get checked out by a vet?
i never see my snakes bask or even attemp to get warmed up. and when i take him out hes not cold but hes not warm so how can i try and get him to warm up.
i tried putting a heat mat under his favorite hide but then he will just move to anothe hise and avoide it.
i was at the pet store the other day to get some anamial food and they had jsut got in some new corn snakes which here very small. they we not even as thick as a pencil and there head was about the size of apiece of corn. Is this normal size for an baby?,or are they rights size.

I see now that when i wake around 6.30 that 2 of my corns are out just curled up out in the open, or in a plant.Is this a sighn thats there not as scared to come out and lay in the open?
I was reading the paper when i came accross a section that said some one found a boa in a forest park. It was under an bench. Someone must have let it go. The snake was about five feet long and was in good condtion.
Did and one hear about this? And im sorry rich i know this is not about corn...
Has any one here been to the illinois reptile show? I just wanted to know becuase my friend who lives in illinois just went last sunday and he said they have lots of good corn snakes. I think the show is in the town called willimgton or something like that.
I was thinking, i take my corn snake outside alot to show people and for her to get some fresh air. And what is she runs into some bugs? Like can they hurt her in any way, can any of the bugs out there hurt her? Becuase i know alot of the wild snakes have parasites and such so that has to mean...
Ive been noticeing that for like the past 3 night that my amel has not been coming out. The only thing i see her do is stick her head out, then she goes back inside and falls asleep.
Is there something wrong with her? Or is it just me?
I had my corn out in the yard today and it was crawing in the grass when i picked it up and he had tried to shed his head but had nothing to shed on. It kinda look like he was getting mad cause he could not do it. So i got a rock form his cage and then he finally shed in one piece. It was cool...
This is the second time i have fed my new snake and every time after i feed her she always will go right in her hide. She never warms up. But i know the cage is around 84 for the warm side. And she has never threw it up. So do most corn go right in there hide and not warm up?
