Inexpensive lighting solution for bookshelf enclosures.

I found these two at Fry's Electronics. Of course you can find them on Amazon or wherever you shop. They come with a remote control, with which you may adjust the brightness and COLOR of the lights, even turn them off. You can link up to 36' of them together. For 4 shelves, I'm looking at...

Destarte's Colubrid Collection (Not dial-up friendly)

I figured I'd start a thread for my whole collection as opposed to starting a thread with each few snakes I pick up. I did warn you. This is going to be a LOT of photos. Again, not dial-up friendly. Zeus:

    Business Name?

So... I eventually want to get into breeding. I'm taking my time to make sure I do it properly. A lot of research is going into this. But, I'm having the hardest time coming up with a company name! Any suggestions will be greatly appreciated! There are a few things that I can say to help spring...

    Piebald Ball Pythons

I was seriously considering a small ball python operation, dealing with purely pied balls. Does anyone know any reputable breeders? I've found a few, but cannot justify $3,500 from a website, when I see piebalds going for $800-1500 at the expo.

    Landscape/Hides

I didn't want to hijack anyone else's thread, so I figured I'd post my own. These hides are thanks to the DIY videos on lizard-landscapes.com. I'm nowhere near complete on my landscape, but I did finish a small hide that was seriously needed for one of my babies. Here's a few photos. I'll update...

    Skittish

I spoke to schnebbles about this earlier, she just said give it time... I purchased two hatchlings a month ago. A snow and an anery. After a week, the snow was super calm and relaxed after being picked up. The anery was not. He jumped at every touch or movement. Now, a month later I bought my...

    Two new additions... Yay!

I headed to the Midwest Reptile show this morning with my younger brother and father to look around, and maybe pick up a female. There was a TON of every type of snake you could think of. Only problem is, none of the colubrid breeders knew what the hell they were talking about. "Yeah, this is an...

    Farm House

Soooooooooo after looking at some of these posts, I think I might build some farm themed hides. Maybe a red barn and a grain silo. Any tips or thoughts? It'd be like attack of the giant corn snake! :p

    Tessera Stud

I know people do it all the time in dogs, is it unheard of to stud out a tessera male? It usually involves pick of the offspring and $$. I don't have a female atm, but I'm looking into it for the future. Maybe I'm just crazy... Lol. You don't have to reply here, feel free to pm me.

    Fall is here!

Well, it's official, the leaves are turning, it's getting colder. Fall is upon us. Here's a few photos I snapped with my phone while my little brother had our father's Colombian Redtail out. Speaking of her, if anyone has a male het for albino in the Indianapolis area, please let us know! :D

Got tagged by a C.B. Anaconda today.

Well, I was at the Noblesville, IN Reptile and Exotic show this afternoon and met a guy selling captive born green anacondas. I had never seen one up close, let alone held one. He handed her to me and she instantly wrapped up for warmth, after enjoying her for a few minutes, the guy tried to PRY...

    What feeders?

I'm sure this question has been asked. But what breed of mouse or rat would be the best investment for myself financially, and the snakes bellies? I'm looking at starting a SMALL colony, maybe 1.3. My father has a redtailed boa and I have a sand boa and 2 corns. The redtail is eating small rats...

    Don Soderberg's Palmetto

New to Corns, here's my two babies.

I can't wait to get into breeding. These two come from a clutch with 3 normals, 2 snow, 2 albino, 2 anery, and 1 reverse albino(all I know, we only picked up 10. I kept two.) Here's the baby snow. Can't wait to see what colors it comes into. And my baby anery.
